Bigleaf and other hardwood trees in the U.S. with edible saps use the same tapping and processing materials, tools, and equipment as the well-established sugar maple industry. The sugar maple industry in the eastern U.S. and Canada dates back hundreds of years and has many specialty materials, tools, and equipment that developed to tap and process sugar maple. Below is a list of some of the suppliers that we know about. We offer them here to help kick off your research. They are not paid advertisements and we do not list them as an endorsement.
